Exposure for the moving clouds was first determined on the tripod mounted camera before capturing a sharp image of the full moon. Without moving the tripod or lens, the clouds exposure was set to the camera while waiting for the clouds to move into place. The blown out moon in the long clouds exposure was then replaced by the sharp moon for my favorite Vision of Light in the darkness.
