150719_0564_NX1_FD400 Fritillary on Echinacea at Rockefeller Preserve
This Fritillary image was the result of marrying my 40 year old (in 2015) Canon FD400mm SSC lens to my new Samsung NX1 digital camera with an adaptor. It requires stop down metering and manual focus, but aids on the NX1 make this process very comfortable. The quality of the optics are still apparent on the 28 megapixel sensor even after all these years.
