200708_02518_A7RIV A Leucistic American Robin, Turdus migratorius, in the Rain in Our Summer Gardens
Unlike Albinism, Leucism is caused by a reduction in multiple types of pigment, not just melanin. So only partial areas loss pigment, but the eyes remain normal. It is always exciting to see an unusual member of Nature's fauna, especially right at home.
