160720_1944_NX1 Edgar, a Male Turkey Vulture at Teatown's Wildlife Rescue
Edgar was found emaciated and starving in Pennsylvania in 1995. X-rays revealed that a gunshot had permanently damaged his right wing, preventing him from flying or searching for food.
