240902_10575_A7RIV A Destroying Angel Fungus, Amanita verna, in Our Late Summer Fern Gardens

Beware, this may look like a common field mushroom but is actually a deadly poisonous basidiomycete fungus. Make note of the patterned stem, open bag structure of the stem collar, smooth 2"-4" cap with tight ridges and the evenly white coloration of all parts.
